Doodle for deciding meeting times

I decided to write about Doodle, because it's something that I've ran into many times last year.

Probably most of you have already used Doodle (http://www.doodle.com) in the past. Those of you who haven't will likely use it sooner or later as it's growing its popularity as one of the most used softwares for deciding meeting times.

In Doodle one person creates an event and possible time suggestions for it to take place. He/she then send a link to everyone invited and they go to check and mark with their name which times are good for them. This way the meeting can be arranged at a time that is good for the most amount of persons as possible. No authentication or registaration is necessary and it is very simple to use. It is an easy and simple solution especially for those who do not use one common calendar or groupware system. It is of course free.

Doodle can be used in many different operating systems and devices. In addition to computers, it can be used with for example Android or iPhone. It can be connected to your Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes or Yahoo account.

Before last year I hadn't used Doodle. However after the first use it was clear that it has a special place in groupware systems, also for us students.
